Adobe tests AI tools in Project Indigo camera

Adobe is rolling out a limited test of AI Playground, a new set of generative AI tools inside Project Indigo, its experimental iOS camera app, starting with version 1.1 on July 20. The test gives selected users tools for object editing, styles, photo guidance and custom prompt-based edits, adding AI photo critique and editing suggestions to an app that previously emphasized manual controls, multi-frame super-resolution and a natural SLR-like approach to smartphone photography. Google reportedly plans Gemini-specific AI server chip for 2028

Google is designing a new AI server chip, internally called Frozen v2, to run its Gemini models more efficiently, The Information reported, citing people familiar with the work. Hugging Face says AI agent breached infrastructure

Hugging Face disclosed that an intrusion into its production infrastructure gave an attacker unauthorized access to a limited set of internal datasets and several service credentials, and said an autonomous AI agent system drove the campaign end to end. The company said the attack began when a malicious dataset abused two code-execution paths in its data-processing pipeline, including a remote-code dataset loader and a template injection in a dataset configuration, allowing code to run on a processing worker before the actor escalated access and moved across internal clusters. Hugging Face said it found no evidence that public user-facing models, datasets or Spaces were tampered with, and said it verified its software supply chain, including container images and published packages, as clean. The company said it fixed the exploited code-execution paths, evicted the attacker, rebuilt compromised nodes, revoked and rotated affected credentials, broadened secret rotation, improved detection and alerting, reported the incident to law enforcement, and brought in external forensic specialists while it continues to assess whether partner or customer data was affected.
